Our Services

Sunday morning

Our Sunday Services start at 10am and generally finish by 11:30am. We recognise everybody is at a different place in their spiritual journey, so we encourage people to participate or just observe in whatever way is helpful for them.

During the service and afterward we have an offering box located at the entrance of the auditorium for financial gifts and offerings. The offering is for those who are committed here. If you are new or visiting, please do not feel obliged to put anything in the box. The money is used for the work of the local church here, and also for the wider work we are committed to.

Lakeside Kids, our children’s programmes, run from 10:15 am till the end of the service. The children go to their programmes during the notices. Upstairs there is a Parent’s Nook for under 2’s fitted with a screen live-streaming the service and play area; and Sparks, a supervised crèche, for 2-4 year old’s. Downstairs is the Ignite primary group and Aflame, the intermediate group. Parents are very welcome to stay with their children. Please ask an usher if you are not sure where to go.

We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month.

Kachin Christian Community

A number of families who have come from the Kachin state in Burma are part of North Porirua Baptist. Most have come to New Zealand as refugees from the long term conflict with the Burmese military in their state.

Many of this group worship with us on Sunday mornings. But a wider group gather downstairs at 12:30pm each Sunday for worship in their own language.

All are welcome to join in.
